M&A Consolidation

    One company, unified systems

After the deal closes, the real work begins. Skydog consolidates CRMs, data, and revenue processes across acquired entities so the combined company runs on one architecture from day one.

    01 — The post-close reality

M&A is messy. RevOps doesn't need to be.

Mergers & acquisitions are exciting...until somebody asks you for a dashboard. Skydog gets your systems working, so you can get back to running your business.

    02 — Consolidation architecture

Built for the combined company you're becoming.

We don't just migrate data — we redesign the system to reflect the new business. One data model, one process, one set of dashboards that leadership and operators both trust.

Our team has run consolidations across HubSpot, Salesforce, and homegrown systems — sequencing the work so go-to-market never goes dark.

03 — Why companies use Skydog for M&A

Skydog gets your CRM merger right, the first time.

    Four rules we don't break

    01

    One CRM. One date.

Two systems running 'just for a quarter' is how mergers quietly die. We pick a winner and set a cutover.

    02

    Motion before tooling.

Segments, stages, and ownership get redesigned first. The platform is the last decision, not the first.

    03

    Reconcile in the dark.

Pipeline math, dedupes, and dashboards land before reps log in — never live, never in front of the board.

    04

    Build for the next deal.

Data model and hierarchies are designed so acquisition #2 plugs in. No re-platform in 18 months.

Let's get this done right, the first time.

    FAQ

    Common questions

How do you merge two CRM instances after an acquisition?

Reconcile the data models first, then dedupe accounts and contacts against a defined survivorship rule, align pipeline stages and definitions, migrate history, and cut over in phases so neither team loses their pipeline.

How long does post-merger CRM consolidation take?

Usually 10 to 20 weeks depending on record volume, how far the two data models diverge, and whether both companies keep selling their existing motions during the merge.

Can we keep both CRMs running?

Temporarily, with a sync in place. Permanently, it costs more than it saves — reporting never reconciles and neither team trusts the number.
